This symposium will bring a rich and fulfilling event for the student community to attend. Students will get the opportunity to network with teachers and experts from Washington, Montana and Idaho to exchange ideas while learning from local experts in the area of human rights and diversity. Presentations will allow participants to deepen their understanding of the immensity of current and past problems related to human rights and diversity. This year’s theme will be centered on how cultural identity directly connects to diversity.
The 2020 Regional Teen Human Rights Symposium aims to provide a full-day of human rights education to secondary students interested in deepening their understanding of human rights history and humanitarian issues today alongside developing an understanding of significant historical diversity issues, and current issues dealing with diversity and cultural identity.
