Host your event at
HREI
The Human Rights Education Institute building was the Inland Empire electric railway substation, a landmark near the heart of Coeur d’Alene. It rests beside the beautiful and sizable Coeur d’Alene City Park, and adjacent to the Coeur d’Alene Lake and Spokane River. Our location is the gateway to the most beautiful area of the city, and historic downtown East Sherman Avenue.
The HREI building contains a large, open gallery with plenty of space for larger gatherings. We also have a smaller media room with art displays, a resource library with books and movies, and audio visual equipment. These spaces are joined by a lobby, and have access to a furnished partial kitchen that can be used for all-day events and smaller community meetings.
HREI also provides cleaning, setup and takedown, and various tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed for an additional fee. Our parking is monitored by Diamond Parking and is a self pay lot.
