11:30 AM – Community Conversations: Nonviolence and Community Action
To honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Civic Engagement Alliance and the Human Rights Education Institute are hosting a virtual, interactive conversation on Nonviolence and Community Action.
Small groups will discuss questions based on the six principles of nonviolence and respond and listen to one another through the lens of their own communities, recent events, and personal experiences.
We will imagine how to utilize the methods of nonviolent community action and collaboration locally to create positive change for challenging human rights issues.
