Lunchtime Peace Sit In – Why it’s hard to be a Patriot
Join HREI for a lunchtime conversation centered around “Why its hard to be a Patriot.” We will be exploring how some groups have taken over American symbols and words that traditionally express a “love of country” and used them in a divisive way in our community.
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Henry Ford
We are once again calling for the peace-makers and community builders to come together for open dialogue, support & collaboration. This is a Sit-In for Peace and an opportunity to connect with others who share in the desire for peace, understanding, and kindness. How can we build an even stronger community together?
Brown Bag lunch. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. Social distancing will be in place and participants are welcome to bring anything that will make them feel comfortable and secure (blankets, pillows, masks).
Lunchtime Peace Sit In discussions will be held on Tuesday, September 22 and Thursday, September 24, from 11:30AM – 1:00PM. Share an opportunity to gather for peace and open community dialog.
