FINAL Pride Month Team Meeting
Dear CDA4Pride 2022 volunteers and supporters!
Our FINAL Pride Month team meeting will be on Tuesday, May 24th, 6 PM – 7:30 PM at the Human Rights Education Institute at 414 West Fort Grounds Drive in Coeur d’Alene.
Please see me for a parking pass if you need one at the venue.
This general meeting will be focused on Pride in the Park on Saturday 6/11. We will discuss setup, day-of volunteering, activities, decorating, marketing, event layout, stage performances, safety, and what we need to prepare for BEFORE the big event.
AND I will have T-shirts available for volunteers who can make the meeting. I should still have plenty of shirts to give away to volunteers at Pride in the Park as well. No one is obligated to attend this meeting if they are volunteering for Pride in the Park, but it is an opportunity to be more familiarized and prepared for the big event.
I plan to organize for the second week of June (either Monday 6/6, Thursday 6/9, or both dates) where volunteers can help prepare set-up materials, decorations, and items for Pride in the Park at HREI. I will need at least 5 volunteers for that.
As we fastly approach Pride in the Park, I will send out more communications to volunteers and partners who are signed up to be there to help keep us organized. A few things on the radar:
- We have recruited about 70% of the day-of volunteers needed for Pride in the Park. We will continue to make calls and get people plugged into shifts. Volunteers may contact us at nipridealliance@gmail.com or at 208-352-3518.
- We are currently working on our event layout and comprehensive safety plan.
- We will work on a setup and decorating plan in writing so we can have a successful event. Once that’s available, I will send it to volunteers.
- The vendor application due date is May 27th. We already have nearly 70 different booths and activities at Pride in the Park.
Thank you for your support and volunteerism in making this a memorable PRIDE MONTH for all!
Take care,
Jessica Mahuron
