Teen Human Rights Symposium and Unity Concert
The 2017 Regional Teen Human Rights Symposium will provide a full day of human rights education to secondary students interested in deepening their understanding of human rights history and humanitarian issues today.
The symposium will feature expert regional presenters and community leaders and advocates, relevant hands-on learning and diversity activities, peer to peer discussions on important topics that teens today face related to human rights, leadership opportunities to develop diversity clubs in schools, information on how to develop an action plan for addressing human rights issues important to students and their community or workplace, many networking activities, and a vendor fair with swag.
This symposium also features informative session on key topics such as bullying prevention, diversity and inclusion strategies, police and community relations, civic engagement, voting rights, disability and employment, and more!
