The Power of One... The Strength of Many

Movie Night in the Park – “Jumanji”

Event Date: August 11, 2018
Time: Dusk
Location: Coeur d'Alene City Park

This fun-filled movie night, hosted by the Coeur d’Alene Police Department with pre-movie fun provided by HREI, will feature the classic fantasy and adventure film “Jumanji” which served as the spiritual predecessor to “Zathura: A Space Adventure” and the prequel to the more recently released “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” This movie will show at dusk on August 11th.

“Jumanji” tells the story of a boy, Alan Parrish, who discovers the mysterious Jumanji board game and attempts to play it with a friend, Sarah Wittle. Alan is then sucked inside of the game and disappears until he is unwittingly released by a pair of siblings 26 years later. After seeing the damage caused by his 26-year absence, Alan, Sarah, and the siblings must go inside Jumanji to fix things. Together, this quartet sets out on an adventure to win the game and reverse the effects it caused. This movie stars Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, Bonnie Hunt, and Bradley Pierce.
