Mary Lou Reed
Mary Lou Reed served six terms in the Idaho State Senate - - one term as Democratic Leader. While in the senate, Mary Lou sponsored or co-sponsored a variety of legislation related to Human Rights, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. state holiday.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Phi Beta Kappa key from Mills College in Oakland, California and did graduate work at Columbia University in New York and Whitworth College in Spokane.
Currently, Mrs. Reed serves as a Board Member to several of civic organizations including North Idaho Head Start, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, the Gonzaga Institute for Action Against Hate and the Coeur d’ Alene Arts and Culture Alliance.
